James Gunn: Dave Bautista defends Guardians of the Galaxy Director On Twitter

A no. of years old tweets surfaced on the internet last week, made by James Gunn, in which he made jokes about off color topics like rape and pedophilia. Although Gunn apologised for his tweets as soon as they surfaced, Disney chopped all the ties with him which included his present job as the Director of Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3.

Although James Gunn released a press statement in which he takes full responsibility for him comments and that he completely supports Disney’s actions, Dave Bautista, who portrays Drax the Destroyer in GOGT came to his defence and tweeted this:

“I will have more to say but for right now all I will say is this,” tweets Bautista “@JamesGunn is one of the most loving, caring, good natured people I have ever met. He’s gentle and kind and cares deeply for people and animals. He’s made mistakes. We all have. Im NOT ok with what’s happening to him”

Meanwhile Gunns twitter account has been deactivated and all the tweets, which were being aggeresively shared bu President Trump Supporters, have been pulled off of his profile.

The only official statement we got from Disney was from it’s Chairman Alan Horn, saying:

“The offensive attitudes and statements discovered on James’ Twitter feed are indefensible and inconsistent with our studio’s values, and we have severed our business relationship with him.”
